The mechanics of the aromatic therapies:

The Aromalife aromatherapy blends are composed by plant essences dissolved into base or carrier oils. The essential oils are regarded as the ultimate plant product. The essential oils provide each plant with their attributes, properties and characteristic smell (hence the term "aroma"). These substances are extracted from plant leafs, flowers, roots, berries, bark, peel, etc. The aim is to use these beneficial herbal attributes to balance & overcome personal ailments (hence the term "aroma- therapy" is used).

The molecular structure of the essential oils extracted from plants is so fine that once the blends are applied to our skin these curative substances penetrate the skin and reach the blood circulation spreading their balancing and beneficial effect throughout the body.

The Aromalife blends are typically applied by means of a generous body massage or by applying the blends locally in affected areas. This will be specified in each product. Alternatively, the aromatherapy blends can be added to the bath water. To optimise results it is recommended to minimise the use of bath soaps and foams.

As the essential oils can be conveyed to the circulation through the respiratory system some of the Aromalife products have been designed to be inhaled. This will also be specified when relevant.
